London (Monitoring Desk); The Baloch National Movement (BNM) staged a protest at 10 Downing Street, London, against severe human rights violations in Balochistan and the recent state repression in Shal. The demonstration also highlighted the 11-year-long enforced disappearance of Baloch Student Organization-Azad (BSO-Azad) Chairman Zahid Baloch and Junior Joint Secretary Asad Baloch. The participants strongly condemned the recent extrajudicial killing of Zahid Baloch’s brother, Shah Jan Baloch, by Pakistani forces.
Speakers at the protest exposed Pakistan’s state-sponsored terrorism in Balochistan, stating that the region is undergoing an intense period of oppression. The Pakistani military and its armed death squads continue to perpetrate atrocities against the Baloch people. The protest marked 11 years since Zahid Baloch’s disappearance, but tragically, just a week ago, the Pakistani army martyred his brother, Shah Jan Kurd. The enemy believes such brutality can weaken Zahid Baloch.
Furthermore, the speakers criticized the puppet government under Sarfraz Bugti, which has launched violent attacks against Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) activists, resulting in multiple deaths and injuries. Following this crackdown, BYC leadership, including Dr. Mahrang Baloch, was arrested.
Central leaders of BNM and Saleem Elahi, a BNM member and brother of the forcibly disappeared Zahid Baloch, addressed the gathering. Saleem Elahi spoke about his brother’s abduction and the tragic murder of his other brother, Shah Jan, in March 2025. He emphasized that these sacrifices are for the freedom of Balochistan and vowed to continue the struggle.
The protest was also addressed by BNM’s Junior Joint Secretary Hassan Dost Baloch, Foreign Secretary Faheem Baloch, BNM UK President Master Manzoor Baloch, BRP UK President Mansoor Baloch, President of Baloch Raji Zrumbesh (BRZ) Abdullah Siyahoi, BHR’s Khurshid Baloch, World Sindhi Congress representative Kamran Jatoi, and activists including Jamshed Amiri, Manzoor Haji Hussain, Ahmed Abdul Hameed, Hakeem Baloch, and Jasim Baloch.
