The central spokesperson of the Baloch Students Organization (BSO), in a statement, strongly condemned the brutal state assault on today’s peaceful protest in Shal for the recovery of forcibly disappeared persons. The spokesperson stated that the aggressive attack by state institutions was a heinous display of colonial savagery and repression, resulting in the martyrdom of several protesters, dozens being injured, and the mass arrest of hundreds. The BSO reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to resisting state terrorism through an uncompromising struggle.
The spokesperson further emphasized that Balochistan has been subjected to decades of state oppression and tyranny. With each passing day, state terrorism against the Baloch people is escalating. The indiscriminate firing on peaceful protesters today has laid bare the reality before the world—that this artificial state is in a state of complete panic. Desperate to uphold its deceptive colonial policies, the state continues to impose them through sheer force while seeking to suppress an oppressed nation’s struggle for its rights.
The BSO spokesperson added that this is not the first time that state institutions have unleashed brutal repression and terrorism against peaceful demonstrators in Balochistan. Such inhumane incidents have become routine in the region, further clarifying the stark divide between the oppressor and the oppressed. However, the intoxicated state, blinded by its power, fails to grasp that its terrorism will only strengthen the Baloch national movement, fostering ideological maturity and transforming it into an even more resilient and determined struggle.
