Seema Baloch, a human rights activist and sister of forcibly disappeared student leader Shabbir Baloch, released a video message recounting her experience. She stated that she, along with Yasir Hameed, Junaid Hameed, and other families of the disappeared, had been staging a sit-in at Bhawani Hub for 3 days, demanding the safe release of their loved ones. During the protest, she and other women demonstrators were arrested and taken to the police station, where she sustained injuries to her hands and feet due to the rough handling. Inside the station, they were subjected to severe psychological torture.
Seema Baloch revealed that police officials pressured them to end their protest, warning that they would be detained for a long time if they refused. However, she and her fellow detainees responded firmly, saying that they were no better than their brothers if their loved ones were enduring captivity, they were prepared to face the same fate.
She said that the suffering they endured in just 18 hours of detention makes it evident how much their disappeared loved ones must be enduring in years of captivity.
she called for continued resistance, stating that the Baloch nation has no other option but to resist.
