The Baloch National Movement (BNM) conducted a pamphlet distribution campaign in the Netherlands and the United States to raise awareness about the history and ongoing struggle for Balochistan’s independence.
In the Netherlands, the pamphlets were distributed in major cities such as Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam, Eindhoven, and others. The campaign aimed to raise global awareness of August 11th, the day Balochistan gained independence from British rule and its government formally declared the region an independent nation.
The campaign aimed to globally highlight August 11th, the date when Balochistan gained independence from British occupation and its government asserted the state’s sovereignty by declaring its independent status. The pamphlet stated that on August 11, 1947, the British recognized Balochistan as an independent state following their withdrawal from the subcontinent. However, on March 27, 1948, Pakistan forcibly occupied Balochistan. Since then, Pakistan has been committing atrocities against the Baloch nation, including forced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, violence against women and children, looting, and the dumping of thousands of mutilated bodies.
Balochistan is currently facing severe state-led atrocities and widespread human rights violations. The pamphlet urges citizens of the free world to speak out against the Pakistani occupation and the genocide of the Baloch people in Balochistan. This solidarity will not only inspire the people of Balochistan but also contribute to international justice and the protection of human rights. By taking action, we can raise global awareness about the situation in Balochistan.
