GWADAR, BALOCHISTAN: BLA Releases Video Footage of Attack on Coast Guard Boats Off Jiwani
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released a video of an attack in Jiwani, in which armed men can be seen aboard a boat. According to the group, the men are fighters of its naval unit, the “Hamal Marine Defence Force,” who used a boat equipped with modern weapons to target two large Pakistan Coast Guards boats patrolling the sea off Jiwani’s coastal area.
The Hamal Marine Defence Force is a naval unit introduced by the BLA, whose formation the group announced on April 13, 2026.
The footage shows BLA fighters attacking a Pakistan Coast Guards vessel, apparently using heavy machine guns to target the personnel on board. The video has since spread widely on social media.
This is the unit’s second operation, according to the BLA. The group had earlier described an April 12, 2026 attack on a Pakistani naval patrol boat near Mill Tiyab in Jiwani as its naval unit’s first operation.
