
Balochistan: Bridge Destroyed in Mastung, Soldier Killed in Panjgur Attack, Vehicles Targeted in Noshki
A bridge on the N-25 National Highway in Mastung district, Balochistan, was destroyed in a bomb attack.
According to officials, the incident occurred last night in the Khadd Kocha area, between Injeri Cross and Khadd Kocha, where unidentified individuals targeted the bridge with explosives.
Officials said no casualties have been reported as a result of the blast. However, further details regarding the extent of damage to the bridge and its impact on traffic flow along the highway have not yet emerged.
This marks the third such attack on a bridge this week. A day earlier, a bridge was destroyed in a bombing in the Zeedi area of Khuzdar. Prior to that, armed men used heavy machinery to destroy a bridge on the Kharan-Karachi Highway in the Kharan Sotkagan area.
Separately, one Pakistani soldier was killed and nine others injured in an armed attack on Pakistani forces in Panjgur. According to reports, the attack took place last night on 125 Wing in Panjgur. Gunfire during the assault targeted a camera and communication tower, resulting in the death of Naik Faisal.
The nine soldiers injured in the attack have been identified as Sepoy Ishtiaq, Sepoy Siraj, Sepoy Abid, Lance Naik Ali, Sepoy Azmat, Sepoy Iqbal, Sepoy Wali, Sepoy Imran, and Sepoy Abbas. Following the incident, the injured personnel were moved for medical treatment; however, further details about their condition were not immediately available.
In a third incident, armed men targeted two commercial vehicles near Sultan Charhai, close to Noshki district. According to local sources, heavy gunfire from the attackers rendered both vehicles inoperable. Sources also said that advancing forces personnel on foot came under attack from rockets and other heavy weapons.
No group has claimed responsibility for any of these attacks as of this report.
