QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: A poor Baloch woman has said that influential individuals have illegally seized her personal land located on Brewery Bypass in Quetta, the capital of Balochistan, and warned she will set herself on fire along with her children if authorities fail to act.

The woman, identified as Sajida, a resident of Wali Jet area of Quetta, made the allegations during a press conference held at the Quetta Press Club.

She claimed that Lal Khan Bugti, Hazar Khan Bugti, Shaukat Bugti, and Barkat Bugti have illegally occupied her land situated on Brewery Bypass.

“I sold only 1,200 square feet out of my total 2,400 square feet of land to these individuals, but they have illegally occupied the entire 2,400 square feet,” Sajida told journalists. “All legal documents and evidence are in my possession and the case is currently under hearing in court.”

Despite the ongoing legal proceedings, she said that the accused individuals are attempting to intimidate and threaten her into giving up her remaining property.

“I will not abandon my property under any circumstances,” she said firmly.

Sajida further stated that due to the illegal occupation, she has been forced out of her own home and is currently living in a rented house with her children, struggling to make ends meet.

She added that she has knocked on every door seeking justice but has received no response from the relevant authorities.

Addressing the government and administration directly, Sajida warned:

“If the occupied land is not vacated, I will set myself on fire along with my children. The entire responsibility will lie with the government and the relevant authorities.”

She demanded that the government immediately intervene, restore her rightful ownership of the land, and take legal action against those responsible for the illegal occupation and intimidation.
