KECH: A body recovered near Bank Charhai on Pasni Road in Turbat has been identified as Yawar Habib, who had reportedly been disappeared since June 2025.
According to sources, Yawar Habib, son of Habib and a resident of Omeri Kahn Shapuk, was disappeared on June 16, 2025, at around 3:00 PM from outside the Turbat bench of the Balochistan High Court, where he had appeared in connection with a legal case. Reports claim that unidentified armed individuals were involved in the abduction.
The body was shifted to the Teaching Hospital Turbat, where it was identified by the victim’s brother. Hospital sources stated that bullet wounds were found on the head and back of the deceased, indicating that he had been killed.
Family members had previously staged protests, including a sit-in on the CPEC highway, demanding his recovery following his disappearance.
This incident adds to a series of reported cases in the region involving abductions and killings, raising ongoing concerns among local residents and human rights observers.
