QUETTA: A young man was reportedly killed by Pakistani security forces in Mastung, while two bodies were recovered from Kharan, highlighting ongoing targeted violence against Baloch, Pashtun, Sindhi and other minority communities in Balochistan.
According to local sources, the Mastung incident occurred in Kili Karez Soor on the eve of Eid, around 3:00 AM. Personnel of the Frontier Corps reportedly raided a house, taking Muhammad Aamir, son of Dil Murad, outside before shooting him dead. Family members claimed that no arrest warrant was presented, no FIR was registered and no evidence was provided to justify the action.
The victim’s mother expressed deep grief, saying that despite years of hardship raising her son, he was taken from her in moments. Relatives further said that they were forced to sign documents on stamp paper without being allowed to read them, with signatures of local elders also obtained under similar circumstances.
In a separate development, two bodies were recovered near the Almarag area of Kharaan. Sources identified the deceased as Saad Sasoli and Ahmed Muhammad Hasni, who were reportedly abducted a few days earlier during a clash in Brushanki. The motive behind their deaths remains unclear, and no group has claimed responsibility.
These incidents are part of a broader pattern of violence by Pakistani forces against the oppressed communities of Balochistan, including Baloch, Pashtun, Sindhi and other minority groups, raising serious concerns among local residents and human rights observers.
