
QUETTA: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has released its February 2026 operational report, claiming that 36 Pakistani security personnel were killed and three others seriously wounded in 27 separate operations conducted across various districts of Balochistan.
In a detailed statement issued by spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, the group said its fighters carried out coordinated attacks in 16 different areas, targeting military installations, intelligence infrastructure, security checkposts, police stations, and state-backed economic projects. The BLF stated that the operations were aimed at weakening the “occupying structure” and disrupting the exploitation of Balochistan’s resources.
Washk Operation Highlighted as Largest Offensive
According to the report, the most significant operation took place in Washk city, where the BLF claimed its fighters laid a complete siege to the city for several hours. The group said that it surrounded key government and security installations, including the Deputy Commissioner’s office, the Superintendent of Police’s office, and a National Bank branch, effectively paralyzing local administration during the operation.
The BLF claimed that 13 security personnel were killed and several others wounded during the Washk clashes. It further stated that weapons were seized from the scene and two military vehicles were set ablaze.
Attacks on Military Checkposts and Intelligence Targets
The group reported conducting 11 coordinated attacks on military checkposts in Mashkay, Jhao, Mand, Awaran, Buleda, Naal, Kharan, Pasni, Barkhan, and Dasht. It also claimed to have targeted a major military camp and a Military Intelligence office in Jhao using heavy weapons, alleging disruption of intelligence operations in the area.
In Gwadar, the BLF claimed responsibility for killing a key Military Intelligence officer. Additionally, the group said it destroyed a surveillance camera in Mand and carried out explosive and rocket attacks on military vehicles in Washuk, Mand, and Chagai, damaging four vehicles in total.
Seizure of Police Stations, Weapons and Supplies
The statement further said that BLF fighters temporarily seized three police stations in Washuk, Naal, and Barkhan, taking control of government weapons and ammunition. During various clashes in Washuk, Barkhan and Naal, the group claimed to have seized 23 modern weapons and additional ammunition.
On the economic front, the BLF stated that it targeted vehicles transporting minerals in Wadh, setting one truck on fire. It also claimed to have intercepted and seized rations and supplies intended for security forces in the Zamuran area.
The report added that two IED explosions were carried out in Chagai and Jhao, two grenade launcher attacks took place in Kharan, and a hand grenade attack was conducted in Khuzdar. The group also claimed to have ambushed two military convoys on highways in Jhao, disrupting supply and reinforcement routes.
Casualties Among BLF Fighters
The BLF acknowledged that four of its fighters were Martyred in separate engagements. Among those named were Captain Hafiz Abdul Wahab alias Babar, who the group said was martyred in December 2025 during an encounter with Pakistani security forces and three others reportedly martyred in clashes in Panjgur in January 2026.
Security conditions in parts of Balochistan continue to remain tense amid intermittent reports of clashes between security forces and armed groups operating in occupied Balochistan.
