HUB: Hani Baloch, a Baloch woman who was forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces on December 25 last year, has been released, according to her family. However, three other members of the same family remain missing, keeping concerns high among relatives and human rights groups.
Family members said Hani Baloch was taken into custody from the Hub Chowki, while Hairnisa, Mujahid, and Fareed were reportedly forcibly disappeared from different areas of Kech by Pakistani forces.
While the family expressed partial relief over Hani Baloch’s release, they said they remain deeply concerned about the continued disappearance of the other family members.
Human rights activists and the affected family have urged the government and relevant authorities to immediately produce the other disappaered individuals and to put an end to extrajudicial practices.
Meanwhile, rights groups say that several Baloch women remain victims of enforced disappearances across Balochistan, with many cases still unresolved. They described the enforced disappearance of women as a serious human rights violation and an alarming trend that requires urgent attention.
