
QUETTA: The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG) have claimed responsibility for 88 attacks carried out during the year 2025, including 13 attacks targeting train services, according to a statement released to the media.
In its statement, the group said that its fighters conducted a total of 88 attacks in various areas of Balochistan, Sindh and Punjab over the course of the year.
According to the spokesperson, 13 attacks were carried out against trains and railway tracks used by Pakistani security forces. Of these, 10 attacks targeted the Jaffar Express, Bolan Mail and Sukkur Express, while railway tracks were blown up on three occasions. The statement said that these trains were attacked while Pakistani security personnel were traveling on them, resulting in what the group described as heavy damage to both the forces and the trains.
The statement further claimed that other attacks targeted Pakistani security forces, police, military-linked construction companies, gas pipelines, mobile phone towers, and electricity towers.
The group said that 22 personnel were killed and 35 others seriously injured in these operations. It also claimed that 12 vehicles were destroyed, including police vans, military vehicles and machinery used by military construction companies such as excavators, rollers, and tractors.
The press release further claimed that 12 gas pipelines were destroyed, while five mobile phone towers and electricity towers were also damaged.
In the concluding part of the statement, the Baloch Republican Guards said they would continue to target the Pakistani military and its collaborators, reiterating their resolve to intensify their operations.
