Awaran: On the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Banuk Karima Baloch, the Baloch National Movement (BNM) organized a commemorative event in its Shaheed Rashid Zone in Awaran, where participants paid tribute to Banuk Karima and veteran Baloch activist Mama Qadeer Baloch, reaffirming their commitment to the collective national struggle.
Addressing the gathering, BNM Senior Joint Secretary Kamal Baloch said that Banuk Karima Baloch played a crucial role in strengthening the organization through tireless cadre-building, discipline, and political consciousness. He emphasized that movements lacking clear principles, defined rules, and organizational discipline ultimately fall behind. “Only a principled, organized, and disciplined struggle can lead us to our destination,” he said.
Kamal Baloch also paid homage to Mama Qadeer Baloch, noting that he passed away on the same day Banuk Karima was martyred. He stated that individuals who dedicate their lives to a cause and die in the path of struggle are martyrs, regardless of whether death occurs due to illness or other circumstances. He added that Mama Qadeer’s lifelong resistance remains a guiding light for the Baloch movement, especially at a time when many fell silent under pressure but Mama Qadeer remained steadfast.
Drawing parallels between the lives of Banuk Karima and Mama Qadeer, Kamal Baloch said both leaders endured immense hardships without concern for harsh weather conditions or personal suffering. He further remarked that every individual’s role in a movement is valuable and irreplaceable, stating that the present generation is fortunate to have witnessed an era shaped by such towering personalities leaders who guided the struggle during their lifetimes and continue to inspire it even after their martyrdom.
Highlighting the historical roots of the BNM leadership, Kamal Baloch said that the majority of the party’s leadership received political training through the Baloch Students Organization (BSO). He described BSO as the collective training ground of Baloch politics and said that BNM is among the strongest political forces to emerge from its ideological and organizational expansion.
The event was also addressed by Awaran Zone Joint Secretary Sagar Baloch, Deputy Secretary of Shaheed Nako Khair Bakhsh Unit Sabiha Baloch, Secretary of Shaheed Dr. Mannan Unit Wadar Baloch, Secretary of Shaheed Agha Abid Shah Unit Rasheed Baloch, and Zeshan Mannan, editor of Zrumbesh Brahui.
