In its latest statement issued to the media, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said that the group’s fighters have held their positions for more than 36 hours and have taken “multiple foreign nationals” hostage inside the compound.

The BLF claimed that Pakistani ground and aerial forces including Special Services Group (SSG) commandos attempted several operations to retake the facility but were pushed back due to resistance from our fighters. The group further alleged that bodies of several Pakistani personnel killed during the clashes over the past two days remain inside the area.

The spokesperson warned that the responsibility for the safety of the hostages would “rest directly with Pakistan” if any harm were to come to them.
