Kech: The ongoing protest sit-in by families of enforcedly disappeared youth in Mand, Balochistan, has entered its fifth consecutive day. According to family members, on October 23, at around 3:00 p.m., Pakistani military personnel, Frontier Corps, and other state agencies raided their homes and forcibly took Fahad (son of Usman), Haroon (son of Muhammad Jan), and Hamood (son of Muhammad Jan) into custody. The families have not received any information regarding the whereabouts of the youths.

Two days ago, local authorities contacted the families to hear their demands, but no progress has been made. The families have stated that their protest will continue and that roads will remain completely blocked until their loved ones are safely released. The administration has reportedly given a 10-day window, promising to release the youths within this period.

The family members reiterated: “Our protest will continue and roads will remain fully blocked until our children are released.”

Meanwhile, in a show of solidarity, the Mand market remained completely shut down today, as local traders and residents supported the families’ demand for justice and the safe recovery of the disappeared youths.
