QUETTA: The Baloch National Movement (BNM) expresses profound sorrow and grief over the passing of Shaukat Buledi, a former Central Committee member, who died in exile on October 4, 2025. His death is an irreparable loss, a void that will be felt across the party and the entire Baloch national struggle.
BNM pays heartfelt tribute to his lifelong dedication, sacrifices, and unwavering courage, remembering him as a devoted, fearless, and steadfast comrade whose life was inseparable from the liberation of Balochistan.
Concerns Surrounding His Death
Shaukat Buledi spent years in exile, enduring hardship, separation from his homeland, and constant threats due to his unwavering activism. In May and August 2024, he survived brutal attacks abroad that left him severely injured in the head, back, and left side.
The circumstances of his passing have raised serious concerns, with fears that agents of Pakistan’s intelligence services may have administered a slow-acting poison. His family, too, suffered harassment and intimidation because of his relentless pursuit of justice and freedom.
From Tragedy to Lifelong Struggle
Shaukat hailed from Meenaz, Buleda, and the martyrdom of his brother-in-law, Altaf Buledi, during a peaceful rally in 2008, became the defining moment of his life. Moved by this tragedy, he abandoned his business in the UAE, returned to Balochistan, and devoted himself entirely to the national struggle.

He served as BNM’s Kech President and was elected to the Central Committee in 2010 and 2014, playing a pivotal role in the party’s leadership and vision. His life became a living testament to courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment.
A Visionary in Ideology and Literature
Beyond leadership, Shaukat Buledi made remarkable contributions to Baloch ideology and literature. He founded Sangar Publications, launched the monthly magazine Sangar, and facilitated the publication of significant works that shaped the intellectual foundations of the movement.
Later, he transformed Sangar into a digital platform, expanding its reach globally and building bridges between the Baloch and other oppressed peoples. Even in illness and exile, he worked quietly, without seeking recognition, with dedication, integrity, and an unbreakable spirit.
Sacrifice, Exile, and Enduring Legacy
Shaukat’s life was a story of sacrifice, enduring exile, illness, and separation from homeland and loved ones for the cause of freedom. Until his last breath, he remained a tireless revolutionary, continuously seeking new paths and opportunities to advance the struggle for independence.
BNM mourns the loss of a courageous, visionary, and selfless leader. His absence will be deeply felt, but his legacy, of resilience, integrity, and devotion, will continue to inspire generations of Baloch fighters and patriots.
Shaukat Buledi may have left this world, but his life, his struggle, and his dreams for a free Balochistan will live on forever.
