Quetta: A deadly suicide attack struck a Pakistani forces’ camp in Quetta’s Model Town on Tuesday, leaving at least 10 people dead and more than 30 others injured, according to officials.
Authorities said the attacker rammed a Suzuki vehicle packed with explosives into the main gate of the camp. Moments later, five armed assailants attempted to storm the compound, sparking a fierce gun battle with security personnel. Several vehicles were also destroyed in the explosion.
The injured, which include women, were rushed to nearby hospitals before being transferred to the Trauma Center for specialized treatment. Among the injured are:
Sabira , Hassan, Humra, Saadullah, Sardar, Bakht Bibi, Hidayat, Jamshed, Zakiral, Syed Noor, Haibatullah, Saeedullah. Naresh Kumar, Jool Gul, Qudrat and Others remain unidentified
Health Minister confirmed the death toll and warned it could rise as several of the wounded remain in critical condition.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
