Karachi: Protest Demands Justice for Killed Transgender Persons in Memon Goth

Karachi: The Sindhian National Congress (SNC) Karachi Division held a protest outside the Karachi Press Club against the brutal killing of three transgender persons in Memon Goth, Malir. The demonstrators demanded justice for the victims, immediate arrest of the perpetrators, and effective measures to protect the rights of transgender and other marginalized communities across Sindh and Pakistan.

Speakers condemned the killings as part of a disturbing pattern of violence and discrimination against the transgender community. They called on authorities to take urgent action to bring the culprits to justice and implement legal and administrative safeguards to ensure the dignity, safety, and equal rights of transgender persons.

The protest also drew attention to broader human rights violations against vulnerable groups in the country. Participants expressed solidarity with the transgender community and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting their struggle at moral, political, and legal levels.
