Quetta: 10 Years Since Enforced Disappearance of Mehr Gul Marri, Family Stages Sit-in Outside Press Club for Recovery

Quetta: Relatives of Deputy Director of Agriculture, Mehr Gul Marri, who was subjected to enforced disappearance by Pakistani forces, staged a sit-in outside the Quetta Press Club on Sunday to protest his prolonged disappearance and to demand his safe recovery.

Family members stated that Mehr Gul Marri has been missing since 2015, forcing the entire family to live under constant suffering. According to them, he was taken into custody by personnel of Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies before disappearing.

Meanwhile, the protest camp of the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) outside the Quetta Press Club has completed 5,939 days. On this occasion, relatives of the missing persons reiterated their demand for the immediate recovery of their loved ones, stressing that enforced disappearances have become a humanitarian tragedy.
