Quetta: VBMP Protest Camp Continues, Family of Missing Saddam Kurd Meets Commission Officials

The protest camp of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), set up outside Quetta Press Club against enforced disappearances, has entered its 5,916th day.

The family members of Saddam Hussain, son of Rahim Kurd, who was subjected to enforced disappearance by Pakistani forces during the night of July 18–19 this year from Killi Habib, Faizabad, Sariab, Quetta, joined the protest camp and appealed to the government to ensure his safe recovery.

Meanwhile, Saddam Hussain’s family, accompanied by VBMP Chairman Nasrullah Baloch, visited the office of the Commission on Missing Persons today and met Deputy Registrar Abdul Hameed. During the meeting, they discussed Saddam Hussain’s case. The Deputy Registrar assured the family that legal proceedings regarding the case had already begun and that the Commission would play its role in ensuring his safe return.
