BRAS Claims Control of Military Camp, 22 Pakistani Soldiers Killed, One Baloch Fighter Martyred

The Baloch Raaji Ajoi Sangar (BRAS) has claimed responsibility for a major assault on a Pakistani military camp in the Matein Goran Panjgoor, Balochistan. In a statement to the media, BRAS spokesperson Baloch Khan said that their fighters launched a coordinated and large-scale attack on the 91 Wing’s central army camp on August 1.

According to the statement, BRAS fighters gained control of key sections of the camp after attacking from three sides, resulting in heavy casualties. The group claimed that 22 Pakistani soldiers were killed, including a captain and over 14 others were wounded. The Baloch fighters reportedly seized weapons, ammunition and other military equipment during the operation.

The assault, which began around 6 PM, lasted nearly two hours and involved attacks on both the main base and nearby outposts. The group also reported disabling surveillance cameras and preventing reinforcements by taking positions along nearby sections of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) route.

He said that during the operation, at the moment of gaining control over one of the posts, three enemy personnel came under the siege of the Sarmachars. The frontline Sarmachar, Amir alias Baba, persuaded them to surrender without any bloodshed. However, during this moment, he was targeted by enemy fire from behind. Despite being critically wounded, he covered some distance, but due to excessive bleeding, he acted upon the philosophy of the “last bullet” in line with his ideological commitment, avoiding capture by the enemy and bidding farewell to his comrades.

Amir Baba was a senior fighter from Hoshab’s Arz Muhammad Bazaar and had been associated with the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) since 2014. He had previously served in both urban guerrilla operations and as a camp commander in the Kolwah region. BRAS described him as a committed ideological and political member of the movement.

In closing, BRAS reaffirmed its commitment to continue its armed struggle until the complete withdrawal of Pakistani forces and the independence of Balochistan. The group warned that such attacks would intensify in the future and paid tribute to Amir Baba and all martyrs of the movement.
