Following the recent deadly attack by the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) in the Jhao area of Awaran, Balochistan, where Major Rab Nawaz and his companions were killed, Pakistani forces launched a retaliatory operation, deploying commando units into the mountainous regions. However, as soon as the forces arrived, armed militants launched a fierce assault on the commandos, also targeting military helicopters patrolling the skies.
According to sources, intense gunfire was heard for several hours during the clashes. The Pakistani military operation in the mountainous area is still ongoing. So far, there have been no confirmed reports of casualties among the militants, but the forces are said to have suffered significant losses.
It is noteworthy that in recent days, BLF attacks have intensified across Balochistan, with several incidents reported where security forces have been targeted in various regions.
Despite these attacks, the forces have been concealing the extent of their casualties, although confirmation of the deaths has surfaced from the families of the slain personnel.
