Organizers of the Baloch Yekjehti Committee (BYC) Dr. Mahrang Baloch, Sibghatullah Shah Ji, Bibagar Baloch, Ghaffar Baloch, Gulzadi and Beebow Baloch were presented in the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) today, where the court handed them over to the police on a further ten-day remand.
Police informed the court that cases have been registered against the accused under terrorism charges, and more time is needed for investigation. The court accepted the police request and ordered the leaders to be remanded for another ten days.
It is worth noting that the arrested leaders were initially detained three months ago under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO). A review board meeting comprising judges was scheduled today regarding their detention. However, just a few hours before the meeting, the MPO orders were abruptly withdrawn, and they were instead presented before the Anti-Terrorism Court.
