Turbat: Unknown armed assailants opened fire on a convoy of oil tankers near Shahzai Pump in the Dank area on the outskirts of Turbat, causing significant damage to several vehicles, sources.
According to local sources, the attackers specifically targeted the tires of approximately half a dozen tankers, bursting them with automatic gunfire and damaging the vehicles in the process. The attack appeared to be calculated to immobilize the trucks without causing loss of life.
The affected vehicles reportedly belonged to contractors from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), including individuals identified as Rafiq Ahmed from Waziristan, and others named Hassan, Baitullah, Khaliq Noor, and Muhammad Iqbal, all residents of KP.
No injuries or fatalities were reported in the incident. Authorities have not yet confirmed the identity or motive of the attackers.
