The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a large-scale operation in Kardgap town, located in the Mastung, targeting government institutions, highways, and non-local individuals.
According to a statement issued by BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, the group’s fighters launched a coordinated operation on June 21, during which they took control of the Levies Station, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) office, and the Assistant Commissioner’s office in Kardgap.
The fighters reportedly seized all government weapons and equipment present at the Levies Station, including four Kalashnikov rifles, one G3 rifle, sixteen other firearms, and a motorcycle. Following the seizure, the station along with its vehicles, furniture, and official records was set ablaze. BLF fighters also conducted patrols in the surrounding area after the operation.
In parallel to the institutional raid, BLF set up armed checkpoints along the Kardgap-Manguchar Link Road. At two separate blockade points, near Kardgap Hotel and a local petrol pump, as well as at Kardgap Cross the BLF Fighters detained six non-local individuals and damaged the tires of at least twelve gas bowser trucks.
Later the same day, BLF fighters imposed a blockade on the strategic Quetta–Noshki–Taftan highway at 7:00 PM. The blockade remained in place for five hours, during which all passing vehicles were searched. The group noted that no security forces attempted to intervene during the entire duration of the highway operation.
In its statement, the BLF confirmed responsibility for the blockades, seizure and destruction of state infrastructure, confiscation of arms and detention of non-local individuals. The group stated that these actions were part of its ongoing campaign for a free and independent Balochistan.
