Kech: Families Block CPEC Highway in Balgatar Over Enforced Disappearances

Balgatar, Kech : The families of Sadiq Wajdad and Pirdad Aqeel, who have been forcibly disappeared, along with local residents, once again blocked the M-8 CPEC highway in protest against the non-recovery of their loved ones.

The sit-in protest was staged at Sahaki in the Balgatar area, where demonstrators disrupted traffic flow, vowing to continue their protest until the missing individuals are safely recovered.

Earlier this week, the families had held a similar protest at the same location but temporarily ended the sit-in after negotiations with local authorities. However, following the government’s failure to fulfill its promises, the families and supporters resumed the blockade.

Protesters accused the authorities of not taking the issue seriously and called for immediate action to ensure the safe return of the missing persons.
