Khuzdar. The families of 9 forcibly disappeared individuals from Zehri Khuzdar, have announced that they will block the Quetta-Karachi highway on February 28 if their loved ones are not recovered by February 27.
The missing persons include Mujeeb ur Rehman son of Muhammad Anwar, who was disappeared on January 9, 2025 from Zehri Dok Rahimabad. Atiq ur Rehman son of Abdul Qadir, who was disappeared on January 13, 2025, from Malguzar Khuzdar. Muhammad Hayat son of Muhammad Umar, who was disappeared on February 18, 2025 from Dok Zehri. Hafiz Siraj Ahmed son of Deen Muhammad, who was disappeared from Noorgama Zehri. Zahid Ahmed son of Abdul Hameed, who was disappeared on October 10, 2022 from Sardar Doda Khan Stadium Zehri.Yasir Ahmed son of Gul Muhammad, who was disappeared on June 5, 2023 from Bulbul Zehri. Zakariya son of Saadullah, who was disappeared from Zehri. Naveed Ahmed son of Abdul Rasheed, who was forcibly taken from a Wagon near Pir Umar, Khuzdar on April 29, 2023 and Muhammad Shafiq son of Muhammad Hayat, who was disappeared from Gidan Hotel Khuzdar.
The families have demanding the immediate release of their loved ones. They accused the authorities of ignoring their plight and warned that if their demands are not met, they will escalate their protest by blocking major highways on Fabruary 28.
