Karachi – A wave of concern has gripped the residents of Malir, Karachi, following the disappearance of student Yasir Baloch, who went missing on his way home from Gulshan-e-Iqbal late Monday night.
Yasir Ali, son of Sabzal Ali, a resident of Juma Goth Malir Karachi, was last seen leaving Gulshan-e-Iqbal at approximately 10:30 PM on the night of February 24th/25th, 2024, after meeting with friends. He is a student of Media Sciences at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University.
According to family sources, Yasir was en route to his home in Malir when he abruptly ceased all communication. His family and friends have been unable to contact him since.
“We are deeply worried about Yasir,” expressed a distraught family member. “His sudden disappearance is alarming, and we fear he may have been subjected to enforced disappearance, a fate tragically familiar to many Baloch students.”
The family has issued an urgent appeal for Yasir’s immediate recovery and for authorities to provide information regarding his whereabouts and well-being. They are calling for a swift and thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his disappearance.
