KALAT, BALOCHISTAN: A 19-year-old female student has been reported forcibly disappeared
A 19-year-old female student has been reported to have forcibly disappeared in Balochistan’s Kalat district, according to the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC).
The BYC said Laiba Sattar, daughter of Abdul Sattar and an FSc student, was taken from Kalat at around 9pm on March 29, 2026.
The group named “death squads” as those responsible for her disappearance in the details it provided.
The term “death squads” is widely used in Balochistan to describe armed groups that work under Pakistani Army patronage in Balochistan and frequently target civilians, political activists, human rights defenders and militants.
