
SURAB, BALOCHSITAN: Journalist’s Son Killed, Three Injured in Firing Near Surab
According to the source, unidentified armed men opened fire on a vehicle in killing the young son of senior Kharan journalist Haji Muhammad Arif and injuring three others.
Sources said the victims, including Zain Arif, were traveling from Karachi to Quetta in a vehicle belonging to Junaid Ahmed when unidentified men signaled the vehicle to stop near Sorab. When the driver failed to stop, the armed men opened fire on the vehicle.
As a result of the firing, Zain Arif, son of Haji Muhammad Arif and a resident of Kharan, was killed.
Junaid Ahmed son of Didag Wafa Mahmoodzai, and Habib Arif son of Haji Muhammad Arif, along with others, were injured in the attack and were immediately shifted to DHQ Hospital Kalat for treatment.
All the deceased and injured are reported to be residents of Kharan. The deceased, Zain Arif and the injured Habib Arif are both sons of Haji Muhammad Arif, a well-known senior journalist from Kharan.
