
QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks on Pakistani Army camps and posts in the Dasht and Hoshap areas of Balochistan over a two-day period, killing one soldier and wounding several others, according to a statement issued by BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch.
According to the statement, BLF fighters targeted Pakistani Army personnel with heavy and automatic weapons in an attack on the main road in the Machaat area of Dasht. The operation resulted in losses of life and property for the army, while fighters also destroyed all surveillance cameras installed by the military in the area.
A day earlier, on June 27, BLF fighters attacked a Pakistani Army post in the Chinal area of Pitok Dasht, killing one soldier on the spot. Fighters also targeted other personnel at the post using rocket launchers and heavy weapons, wounding two more soldiers. A military vehicle parked near the post was also damaged in the attack.
On the same day, in a separate operation, BLF fighters attacked a Pakistani Army camp established in the Balnigwar area of Dasht using rocket launchers and other heavy weapons, causing further losses of life and property to the army, according to the statement.
In a fourth attack on June 27, BLF fighters targeted an army camp in the Damb area of Hoshap, firing multiple grenades from a grenade launcher at the camp. The statement said the grenades struck their intended targets, causing further losses of life and property to the army.
The Balochistan Liberation Front claimed responsibility for all four attacks carried out in Dasht and Hoshap, stating that one Pakistani Army soldier was killed and several others wounded, while surveillance cameras, a military vehicle, and other property belonging to the occupying forces were destroyed.
