Quetta: The protest camp established in front of Quetta Press Club by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) against enforced disappearances in Balochistan continued today, Saturday, for the 6138th consecutive day.
During this time, the family of Nazar Mari contacted VBMP, reporting that Nazar Mari was taken into custody by state agency officials from Quetta on August 27 last year and forcibly disappeared.
According to the family, eight months have passed since Nazar Mari’s enforced disappearance, yet he has neither been presented in any court nor has any information been provided about his well-being. This has caused immense distress and suffering for the family.
VBMP Chairman Nasrullah Baloch assured the family that the organization will raise Nazar Mari’s case with relevant senior officials and justice institutions according to the constitution and law. The VBMP will raise its voice in every forum for his safe recovery.
He called upon the government and heads of relevant agencies to ensure Nazar Mari’s safe return. If there are any charges against him, he should be produced publicly in court so that the family can be relieved from this painful ordeal.
