Kech/Washuk: Fighters of the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) carried out two significant operations on March 16–17, targeting occupying Pakistani forces in Tump and state-sponsored death squad operatives in Washuk, resulting in multiple casualties, arrests, and seizures of weapons and equipment, according to BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch.
On March 16, 2026, BLF units launched a coordinated assault on the Pakistani army’s camp in the Malant area of Tump. The fighters strategically surrounded the camp from multiple directions and engaged the personnel in an intense close-range attack. Heavy weapons, including B-10 82mm rockets, RPGs, sniper rifles, grenade launchers, and other armaments, were employed to target key positions within the camp.
The assault resulted in the death of at least three army personnel on the spot and left four others critically injured. BLF fighters also destroyed surveillance cameras installed at the camp and inflicted substantial damage on essential camp infrastructure. Helicopters were reportedly deployed afterward to evacuate the killed and wounded personnel.
In a second operation on March 17, 2026, at around 7:00 AM, BLF fighters carried out a targeted strike against a state-sponsored death squad in the Grari area of Washuk. Intelligence indicated that the operatives, under the patronage of the Pakistani army, had established a temporary checkpoint on the CPEC highway, harassing drivers and extorting money.
BLF fighters surrounded and targeted the death squad, killing three operatives, while one was captured and remains in BLF custody. One of the killed operatives has been identified as Kahoor alias Manan, son of Mureed, resident of Mashkay. The identities of the remaining two deceased operatives are not yet known. The arrested operative has been identified as Chakar, son of Sher Muhammad, resident of Nag, whose interrogation is ongoing.
During the operation, BLF fighters seized all weapons and equipment used by the death squad and set their vehicle on fire. The group, led by an operative named Sarwar and operating under Ali Haider Muhammad Hasni, has been involved in anti-Baloch activities, including extortion from transporters, according to the BLF statement.
Major Gwahram Baloch, BLF spokesperson, stated that both operations reflect the organization’s continued strategy to target forces and operatives acting against the Baloch national cause. He emphasized that death squad operatives remain on the BLF’s hit list, and anyone working against the Baloch struggle will face consequences.
The BLF has formally claimed responsibility for the Tump camp attack and the Washuk operation, highlighting their operational capabilities and intelligence-driven strategies against military and paramilitary targets in the region.
