QUETTA: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for 18 coordinated operations against Pakistani forces between 6 and 16 March 2026. According to Jeeyand Baloch, these operations took place across Khuzdar, Surab, Shahrak, Turbat, Karkh, Pasni, Quetta, Panjgur, Kharan, Gwadar.

Jeeyand Baloch stated that these attacks targeted Pakistani army personnel, intelligence operatives, Coast Guards and enemy installations, while also establishing effective strategic control over the CPEC route. The BLA claimed that a total of 55 personnel were killed and dozens wounded during this period.

On 6 March, BLA fighters attacked a Pakistani army checkpoint in Khatan, Khuzdar, using a grenade launcher, causing both human and material losses.

On 7 March, in Surab, BLA fighters intercepted an armored vehicle carrying the Commissioner of Makran while traveling from Quetta to Turbat. The vehicle contained multiple bottles of alcohol and drugs. The personnel were taken into custody and are being interrogated according to BLA organizational rules.

Also on 7 March, in Shahrak, Kech, a Pakistani army checkpoint at Pognash was targeted, resulting in casualties among enemy personnel and the destruction of all installed advanced surveillance cameras.

From 9 to 14 March, during “Operation Karkh,” BLA fighters established strategic checkpoints along the M8 (CPEC route) in Karkh, Khuzdar, maintaining control for six consecutive days. During routine checks, three ISI operatives attempted to flee, two of whom were killed in crossfire and one captured. All belonged to Punjab.

During the third day of the operation, advancing infantry units of the Pakistani army were targeted with remote-controlled IEDs, while further attempts at progression by the enemy on the fourth day were repeatedly ambushed and repelled. Over these intense clashes, at least 17 army personnel were killed, multiple others injured, and three vehicles along with two quadcopters destroyed.

On 9 March, in Surab at the location “Tareki,” advancing enemy forces were forced to retreat after a coordinated attack by BLA fighters. On the same day, in Tejaban, Turbat, a Pakistani army vehicle was targeted with a remote-controlled IED, killing one soldier and injuring three others.

On 10 March, in Pasni, BLA fighters attacked a Military Intelligence safe house with hand grenades. On 13 March, in Pengu, Daghari (near Quetta), a joint convoy of Pakistani forces, CTD, and so-called death squad members was ambushed, killing two operatives and destroying one army vehicle.

On 14 March, Pakistani forces attempted to advance in the same area but were repelled by BLA fighters using IEDs, causing both human and material losses. Later that night, in Prom, Panjgur, BLA units equipped with night vision and advanced weaponry attacked a convoy, destroying one vehicle and killing five personnel while injuring several others. A sniper subsequently targeted an advancing officer inspecting the site, killing him on the spot.

Also on 14 March, in Goruk, Kharan, BLA fighters ambushed a Pakistani army convoy with rockets and heavy weapons, damaging six vehicles and killing 14 personnel while wounding more than 10. The day before, BLA fighters had captured a supply truck at the same location, which was later burned; the drivers were released as per organizational policy.

On 15 March, BLA units attacked a military base and jet fuel station at Turbat Airport with grenade launchers, causing severe damage to the facilities. On the same day, in Panwan, Gwadar, BLA’s urban guerrilla unit ambushed a Coast Guard checkpoint, killing three personnel (Naik Saleem, Sepoy Adnan Rao, and Sepoy Azeem) and seizing all weapons and ammunition.

On 16 March, in Bakhtiar Luni, Dukki, BLA fighters targeted a Pakistani army convoy with a remote-controlled IED while it was advancing into the area, killing ten personnel and completely destroying their vehicle.

Jeeyand Baloch concluded by stating that these operations are aimed at uprooting Pakistan’s occupation from Balochistan. He warned that the occupying forces, their so-called development projects, and their salaried operatives are no longer beyond the reach of BLA fighters. He added that the organization is fully committed to continue its struggle until the last traces of occupation are removed, and emphasized that the logical conclusion of this conflict is an independent and free Balochistan.
