KHUZDAR: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for an attack on vehicles transporting minerals in the Waher area of Wadh on February 26, 2026.

In a statement issued by BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, the group said its fighters targeted trucks carrying precious stones and minerals. According to the statement, the tyres of several vehicles were shot out, and one truck was completely set ablaze during the attack.

The BLF described the operation as part of its ongoing campaign to halt what it termed the “illegal transfer” and exploitation of Balochistan’s natural resources.

The group claimed it had previously warned truck owners and drivers to refrain from transporting minerals linked to projects backed by the Pakistani military. It said earlier warnings had involved damaging vehicle tyres without causing further destruction, but that some transporters continued operations despite those warnings.

In its statement, the BLF says that state-backed projects of exploiting Balochistan’s mineral wealth and termed such activities harmful to the local population. The group further warned that individuals involved in such projects would be considered collaborators and could face future attacks.

Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident. Independent verification of the claims remains unavailable.
