Quetta: Hazara Town Protesters Allege Police Backing of Illegal Activities in Sultanabad

QUETTA: Residents of Sultanabad area in Hazara Town, Quetta, staged a protest on Saturday against the establishment of immoral activities under what they claimed to be police patronage.

The protest, led by Allama Asif, saw a large number of local residents participating in a sit-in, which was ongoing at the time of filing this report. Protesters said that illegal and immoral activities were being openly carried out in the area, causing serious concern among local families.

Demonstrators demanded immediate action against those involved and called on higher authorities to investigate the role of police officials. They warned that the protest would continue until concrete steps are taken to address the issue.

No official statement had been issued by the police or district administration regarding the allegations at the time of reporting.
