The Spokesperson of the Baloch Students Organization (Azad), Sholan Baloch, said that we pay tribute on the 10th anniversary of the martyrdom of Dr. Manan Baloch and his companions Babu Noroz, Ashraf Baloch, Sajid Jan, and Hanif Baloch. He added that it has been the practice of occupying states that whenever they seize a territory, they attempt to erase the identity of the indigenous people and commit widespread oppression. In response, some great and courageous sons of these nations have resisted the occupation, sacrificing everything for the sake of their people.
Among this list is Dr. Manan Baloch, who, along with his companions, dedicated every moment of his life to the struggle for Balochistan’s freedom and remained committed to this noble cause until his last breath.
Martyr Manan Baloch was a prominent and distinguished leader of the Baloch national freedom movement (BNM). Living among the people, he practiced grassroots politics and mobilized the Baloch population for their freedom. He was constantly traveling throughout Balochistan, listening to the problems of the people and guiding them.
In addition to being a political leader, he was also a doctor, providing medical care to his companions as well as the Baloch public a revolutionary act in itself. He consistently stood at the forefront of understanding and implementing genuine grassroots politics, which made him widely respected as a revolutionary and political leader among the people.
His actions and struggle teach us that he believed in politics rooted among the people. Even at the time he was brutally martyred, he was actively guiding the public alongside his companions.
We pay tribute to Dr. Manan Baloch and his companions on the 10th anniversary of their martyrdom. Baloch activists are encouraged to study these figures, consider them as their heroes, and follow their path of struggle.
