BALOCHISTAN: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has announced the launch of the second phase of Operation Herof, claiming that its fighters have carried out coordinated attacks across ten cities in Balochistan.
In a statement released to the media, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said that, under the second phase of Operation Herof, BLA fighters have initiated simultaneous and organized operations in Quetta, Noshki, Mastung, Dalbandin, Kalat, Kharan, Gwadar, Pasni, Tump and Buleda.
According to the statement, BLA fighters targeted military and administrative structures in these cities, claiming to have inflicted significant damage. The spokesperson said that operations in various urban areas have restricted the movement of security forces and that, at several locations and Pakistani forces were pushed back.
The spokesperson further claimed that during Operation Herof, Fidayeen attacks were carried out on camps belonging to security forces and the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) in Quetta, Pasni, Gwadar, Noshki and Dalbandin.
The statement said that the BLA’s elite unit, the Majeed Brigade, managed to enter military camps and take control of large sections of them, adding that intense fighting was ongoing at some locations. The spokesperson claimed these actions had placed sensitive military installations under direct pressure.
According to the BLA, its fighters are also present in an organized manner in other areas of Balochistan. The statement said that in Mastung, Kalat and Kharan, Pakistani army and police forces were pushed back from urban areas. In Gwadar and Pasni, the spokesperson claimed that coordinated attacks and fighter presence had limited the movement of security forces, while pressure was being maintained along the coastal belt to the Pakistani forces.
Operations were also reported by the BLA in Tump and Buleda, where it claimed to have targeted the movement of security forces.
The spokesperson further stated that the Coastal Highway was also targeted during the operations, affecting logistical movement. According to the claim, pressure on the highway disrupted routine military operations and, at some points, completely halted movement.
The BLA said that multiple units are participating in the second phase of Operation Herof in a coordinated manner. These include the Fateh Squad, Majeed Brigade, Intelligence Wing Zirab and the Special Tactical Operations Squad (STOS), which the group claims are advancing in different cities and regions with mutual coordination.
