
QUETTA: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has published details of its armed operations carried out during 2025, reporting that 581 attacks were conducted across Balochistan during the year, resulting in the deaths of 647 personnel.
According to the annual report released by BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, the operations were carried out from January to December 2025 and caused human and material losses to a total of 929 personnel, including 647 killed and 282 injured.
The report states that 2025 was a decisive year for the ongoing resistance movement in Balochistan, during which the organization pursued coordinated and long-term operational strategies rather than limited or reactive actions. The operations were carried out in coastal regions, urban centers, highways, mountainous areas, and remote across Balochistan.
The report details that those killed included members of the army, Frontier Corps, police, intelligence networks, coast guards, special forces and affiliated armed groups. Injuries were reported among army and FC personnel, police, intelligence operatives, coast guards and other associated forces.
According to the published figures, BLF targeted state-linked installations, including more than 33 police and Levies check posts or stations, two Frontier Corps check posts and five customs camps during the year.
The report further outlines the nature of the operations, including ambushes, hand grenade attacks, sniper attacks, IED explosions, intelligence-based operations and assaults using heavy and light weapons. It also states that a bank and a bridge were targeted during the year.
In terms of material damage, the report states that 17 military vehicles, including armored vehicles, were destroyed or disabled. It further reports the destruction of construction machinery, transport vehicles linked to gas, mineral and military supply operations, as well as damage to police vehicles, trucks and tractor-trolleys.
The report also states that surveillance and intelligence infrastructure was targeted, including monitoring towers, surveillance cameras and aerial reconnaissance equipment.
According to the publication, the organization also carried out what it described as strategic operations during the year, including Balochistan-wide operations and targeted actions in specific areas. The report notes that these operations were intended to challenge state control and movement.
On the media front, the BLF reported the publication of multiple issues of its magazines during 2025, describing them as part of its informational and ideological outreach. The report concludes by reaffirming the organization’s resolve to continue its activities on multiple fronts in the coming year.
