Quetta: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks carried out in Mand, Turbat, Awaran, and Mashkay, alleging that seven Pakistani military personnel were killed and a quadcopter was shot down.

In a statement issued to the media, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said that on December 15, BLF fighters targeted military personnel providing security to a Pakistani military convoy traveling between the Rideeg and Mahir areas of Mand using an improvised explosive device (IED). According to the statement, two personnel, including Naik Ghulam Fareed, were killed on the spot.

The spokesperson further claimed that on the same day at around 6:00 PM, BLF fighters ambushed another Pakistani military convoy traveling from Awaran to Gishkour at Wasati Bazaar in the Zeik area. The attack reportedly targeted three vehicles of the convoy, one of which sustained severe damage. The BLF claimed that five personnel were killed and two injured, while personnel in the remaining vehicles fled the area.

In a separate incident, BLF stated that on the night of December 15 at approximately 8:00 PM, its fighters carried out a hand grenade attack on an outpost at a Navy Force checkpoint located on Turbat Overseas Road, resulting in injuries to personnel stationed inside the bunker.

The statement also said that on the evening of December 14, BLF fighters operating in the Patandar area of Mashkay came under aerial surveillance by three quadcopters launched by Pakistani forces. The group claimed its fighters carried out a preemptive action, shooting down one quadcopter, after which they safely withdrew to their secure bases.

The Balochistan Liberation Front said it accepts responsibility for the killing of seven military personnel in four separate attacks and for downing a quadcopter.
