At least three people lost their lives in separate incidents of violence and crime in different parts of Balochistan, highlighting the ongoing law and order challenges in the region.
In Khuzdar Nall area, unidentified armed individuals opened fire on a mobile phone tower located near the Samand checkpost along the CPEC route. The attack resulted in the death of the tower’s watchman, Mohammad Aslam, son of Mohammad Bakhsh, who died on the spot. Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants took advantage of the darkness and managed to flee the scene.
Following the incident, the victim’s family staged a protest by placing the body on the road, demanding immediate arrest of those responsible. After about an hour of negotiations, an agreement was reached between local authorities and the protesters. The road was reopened, and the body was moved for burial.
In a separate incident in Kalat, unknown motorcycle-riding assailants gunned down a young man identified as Mola Dad, son of Qadir Bakhsh, a resident of Kohak Nechari, in the Manguchar Bazaar area. The attackers fled the scene, and local administration has launched an investigation.
