QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) Protest Camp Enters 6,226th Day Outside Quetta Press Club
The protest camp organized by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) against enforced disappearances in Balochistan has entered its 6,226th day outside the Quetta Press Club.
VBMP reiterated its demand for the safe recovery of missing persons and an end to enforced disappearances.
Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) is one of the most prominent human rights organizations documenting enforced disappearances in Balochistan. Founded by families of missing persons, the organization has been staging continuous sit-ins and protest camps for years, demanding the safe recovery of their loved ones.
The organization has recorded thousands of cases of enforced disappearances in Balochistan, many of which families claim were carried out by Pakistani security forces including FC and CTD personnel.
Human rights organizations both domestically and internationally have repeatedly called on Pakistani authorities to independently investigate these cases and ensure accountability.
