QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has announced the upcoming publication of a booklet titled “An Intellectual Study of Nation as Network,” authored by Dr. Sabiha Baloch.

The booklet, being published under BYC’s Literature Department through Barmash Publications, presents an intellectual examination of Victoria Bernal’s well-known book Nation as Network. It explores core debates around nationhood, diaspora, citizenship, digital politics, and state power, while examining how digital technologies have reshaped political communities and transnational identities in the current era.

Drawing on Bernal’s ethnographic study of Eritrea and its diaspora population, the booklet introduces readers to key concepts such as “sacrificial citizenship” and “infopolitics,” and outlines their relevance to understanding nationalism, political participation, and resistance in the digital age.

According to the announcement, the publication aims to present political thought in an organized, accessible format for readers interested in critical theory, national movements, and the evolving relationship between the state, society, and digital networks.

The booklet will soon be available on BYC’s official Telegram channel: @bycofficial.
