QUETTA: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a coordinated operation against Pakistani security forces in Hoshap on February 3, 2026, stating that two military vehicles were destroyed and several personnel were killed and wounded during the clashes. The group also confirmed that seven of its fighters were martyred in the confrontation.

In a statement issued by BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, the organization said its fighters launched simultaneous attacks at four different locations in Hoshap.

According to the statement, in the initial phase of the operation, one unit surrounded a police station located in Hoshap Bazaar and took control of the facility, holding personnel inside. While fighters were reportedly seizing weapons and ammunition from the station, a military convoy consisting of four vehicles approached the area, leading to an intense exchange of fire.

The BLF claimed that during the clash, its fighters destroyed two military vehicles and killed several soldiers on board. It further stated that another unit positioned elsewhere in Hoshap targeted two armored vehicles with heavy weapons, resulting in additional casualties.

The group said that Pakistani forces later deployed gunship helicopters and drones in response to the operation, leading to prolonged fighting.

Seven BLF Fighters Martyred

The BLF confirmed that seven of its members were martyred during the clashes. The group identified them as:

  • Shaneed Baloch (alias Shohaz), son of Muhammad Rafiq, resident of Sahaki Kelkour
  • Zabad Baloch (alias Deedag), son of Ghulam Muhammad Baloch, resident of Syed Abad Kelkour, Panjgur
  • Atta Baloch (alias Obaid), son of Shayhaq, resident of Sing Abad Tijaban

  • Zaheer Baloch (alias Istaal), son of Mayar, resident of Kolwah
  • Nadeem (alias Sahil), son of Amir Bakhsh, resident of Balour Kolwah

The statement described each of the martyred fighters as active members of the organization who had participated in armed activities over recent years.

The BLF concluded by reiterating its commitment to continuing armed resistance and pledged that the sacrifices of its fighters would not deter its campaign.
