Quetta: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks in Jhao, Kharan and Gwadar, stating that two Pakistani military personnel and one intelligence agent were killed in separate incidents.

In a statement issued by its spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, the group said its fighters targeted Pakistani military personnel on February 8 along the Awaran–Lasbela highway in the Jhao area. According to the claim, an improvised explosive device (IED) detonated while personnel were attempting to defuse it, resulting in the deaths of two soldiers.

The BLF further stated that on February 18, its fighters attacked a security forces checkpoint near the southern bypass in Kharan city using grenade launchers and automatic weapons. The group said that the attack caused casualties and material losses, though no independent confirmation was immediately available.

In a separate incident on February 15, the group claimed its members carried out an operation in the Pishukan area of Gwadar, where they killed a man identified as Akmal, son of Nasir, a resident of Faisalabad, Punjab.

The BLF accused him of working as an agent of Military Intelligence and assisting security forces by providing information about the activities of its members and political activists.

The BLF said it accepts responsibility for all three attacks.
