Quetta: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released details of another female fidayeen member of its Majeed Brigade who took part in the second phase of Operation Herof, according to a statement issued on the group’s official channel.

The BLA identified her as Asifa Mengal, daughter of Muhammad Ismail Mengal, born on 2 October 2002, and a resident of Killi Qaziabad, Nushki.

According to the statement, Asifa Mengal joined the BLA’s Majeed Brigade on 2 October 2023 and announced her fidayeen decision in January 2024. The group said she joined the organization at a young age, describing her path as one shaped by “conviction and political awareness rather than circumstances.”

The BLA claimed that on 31 January 2026, Asifa Mengal carried out a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) attack targeting what the group described as an ISI headquarters in Nushki, as part of Operation Herof Phase Two.
