QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: Three security guards were killed after unidentified armed men opened fire in the Jhalar Zamindari area, police sources said.
According to police, the guards were employed by Sardar Akbar Khan Nasir in the Jhalar Zamindari area. Police said all three deceased guards were Afghan nationals, identified as Ghani alias Ghanu, Agha Jan and Izzat Khan. Their bodies were recovered from Poorh hill and later shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Duki.
Police said two other guards, Nadir Khan and Bashir Khan, remain missing. A police team reached Poorh hill after receiving reports of firing between the guards and armed men in the area. Further investigation into the incident and the search for the missing guards is ongoing, according to police sources.
In a separate incident, armed men in the Ahmadwal area of Noshki abducted a patwari, Abdul Hakeem Jamaldini, along with another individual identified as Hanzala, taking them away along with their vehicle.
Meanwhile, one person was killed when unidentified armed men opened fire near the fish market area in Turbat. The body has been shifted to Teaching Hospital Turbat for the necessary legal procedures.
