Baloch Freedom Fighters’ Control of Khuzdar’s Zaidi; Clashes Reported with Pakistani Forces

KHUZDAR, BALOCHISTAN: Baloch separatist militants have reportedly taken control of Zaidi tehsil in Khuzdar, seized two police stations along with several checkpoints.

Clashes are said to be ongoing with heavy contingents of Pakistani forces that have arrived from Khuzdar.

According to reports, Baloch Freedom Fighters set up a checkpoint on the M8 highway in Khuzdar’s Zaidi area starting at 7 a.m. today, searching vehicles and passengers. There are also reports that a police station was set on fire. Sources say armed men continue to patrol the M8 road, and intermittent gunfire has been reported in various locations.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
