NOSHKI, BALOCHISTAN: Two police personnel were killed in Noshki after unidentified armed men opened fire on a police patrol team.
According to Noshki Police, the patrol team was carrying out routine patrolling duty in the bazaar when unidentified armed assailants opened fire on them on Ain-ud-Din Road.
The firing resulted in the deaths of police constables Shah Khalid son of Abdul Khaliq, belonging to the Mengal tribe and resident of Mengal, and Muhammad Saleem son of Regi Khan, also belonging to the Mengal tribe and resident of Qazi Abad, who were killed on the spot.
Following the incident, police and other law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and launched a search operation for the attackers, while further investigation into the incident is underway.
No official statement has yet been issued by police authorities regarding the identity of the attackers or the motive behind the attack.
Separately, unconfirmed reports have emerged of a blast in the Batto area of Ahmed Wal, Noshki. Details of the incident, including casualties or damage, are not yet available. This report will be updated as more information becomes confirmed.
