
QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: A series of highway blockades, infrastructure attacks, and clashes were reported across multiple districts of Balochistan on Thursday, according to local reports.
According to sources, in Harnai, armed men reportedly set up checkpoints and conducted vehicle inspections on the Shahrag–Harnai Road and the Shahrag–Ziarat Road.
In Dalbandin, the armed men reportedly took control of a main highway in the area, conducting snap checks on all passing vehicles. However, no one was detained during these checks. They also set fire to several heavy vehicles.
In another incident, two bridges on the Nushki–Kharan highway, located in the Reko area between security force checkpoints, were reportedly destroyed in explosions.
Meanwhile, in Mastung, an armed attack targeted a Pakistan military convoy, damaging an armored vehicle and other vehicles, according to reports.
Clashes between security forces and armed men reportedly continued for an extended period afterward. Separately, in Mastung’s Khadkocha area, armed men reportedly took control of the Quetta–Karachi highway, conducted snap checks, and seized nine trailer trucks.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks.
